All About The Mind
Buddhism is commonly associated with religion, rituals, monasteries and more recently, mindfulness meditation. Despite it being one of the most ancient belief systems dated more than 2500 years ago and spanned across numerous eras of the Asian history, it remains very little understood by most people. The rich cultural overlay made buddhist iconography a fascinating art much sought after as collectibles. However, when we unearth the rich teachings beneath the iconography, we will be greeted by a pleasant discovery that core to Buddhism is a very simple Truth: Its all about the Mind.
At Mind Place, we present the union of buddhist iconography with this Truth.
Let the journey of self-realization begins here...

PURPOSE OF A HERITAGE CENTRE:

- An archive of the original literary works on "applied buddhism" written by great buddhist masters based on their actual realisation.
- A physical presentation of the Buddhist Teachings which remains timelessly applicable regardless of the different eras and phases of evolution of man-kind.
- A place to inspire the present and future generations to carry on the rich history of Buddhism and the authenticity of the teachings.
- A meeting place for like-minded individuals and organisations, to share experiences, develop friendships and explore collaboration opportunities.
- An Asian node of the global network of heritage centres and museums to facilitate exchanges on areas pertaining to the use of techniques and technology towards preservation efforts.

Mind Place is a not-for-profit project by Mind Essence Pte Ltd.
This project aims to present a modest collection of buddhist artefacts that are of historical value for the purpose of preservation and education.
The collections include buddhist iconography, statues, paintings, literary works, ritual instrument and handicraft. These are not necessarily antiques. Each of the artefacts presented here will include a short explanation of its unique features and its significance in relation to the Buddhist Teachings.
It is hoped that people who are interested in, or curious about, buddhist artefacts will enjoy the presentation here.
