Artefacts at a glance

Buddhism can be generally categorised into three traditions, namely Theravada, Mahayana and Vajrayana. The categorisation is based on the different focus of theTeachings as well as the geographical propagation of the Teachings over the past 2500 years and more. As Buddhism was propagated across different regions of Asia, the styles of the iconography were also influenced by the different culture and eras.
