Belongs to the “Vajra Family” of the Five Dhyani Buddhas, Buddha Aksobhaya is blue in colour, seated in meditation pose on a half-lotus pedestal, his left hand holds a vajra (dorje) while his right hand touches the ground (bhumiparsha mudra). It is taught that Buddha Aksobhaya resides in the Abhirati Paradise in the East. He is also associated with the qualities of the Mirror-Like Wisdom. One common practice of Buddha Aksobhaya is that of transforming hatred into Mirror-Like Wisdom.
